What is Love & Robots?

Love & Robots is an online platform for people who want their products to be as unique as they are. Through the L&R platform you can tweak and personalize products to yourself in real-time, in your browser. Our design tool lets novices do in minutes what would take experts in computer-aided design hours.

Do I need an account to place an order?

No, you can place an order without being a member. If you do sign up to be a member (it's free), you can create your own profile and save and share designs.

Will Love & Robots make my designs on-demand?

We are currently not offering an on-demand manufacturing service.

Shopping

Delivery

We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, however, delays are occasionally inevitable. We shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within the estimated timescales.

All items are subject to stock availability. In the event that we are unable to supply the goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. A refund will be given on request where you have already paid for the goods.

We offer a guaranteed post option for customers who require this. Unlike the regular post option, registered post includes insurance against your purchase(s) being lost in the post, if this happens we will send you a replacement(s) if possible or refund you if not.

When we deliver your items to you, you may be asked to sign for the goods to acknowledge that you have received them.

If a product is damaged please contact us through the contact page and we will arrange an appropriate remedy.

Please note that items are made to order. Time taken to dispatch is listed on the product page for each items. Delivery times are from dispatch. You will receive email notification when your item has been dispatched.

For all other destinations, please use drop-down menu on the Checkout page. There are 2 rates offered for all shipping destinations:

  • - Standard shipping uses the local mail service in your country and can take up to 20 working days after dispatch to be delivered. There is no track and trace with this option.
  • - Express Shipping uses AnPost/ DHL to fulfill orders and requires a signature on delivery. Please make sure that there is someone at your address who can sign for the parcel. A tracking number will be emailed to you after your order has been dispatched.

Due to temporary additional security measures taken by the United States Homeland Security Agency, mail destined for the United States and weighing more than 450g may be subject to short delays (1-2 days).

Collection

Orders can be collected from our office at 5 Dame Lane, Dublin 2. Our opening hours are Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm.

Please bring a copy (print-out or on screen) of your purchase confirmation email when collecting.

Ordering Goods

All orders placed through our website will be subject to our acceptance of the order in accordance with our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

We offer 2 delivery options, standard and guaranteed delivery. If you place an order with standard delivery Love & Robotswill not be responsible for your order not reaching you due to issues with your national postal carrier. If you choose the guaranteed delivery option and your order does not reach you due to difficulties with your national/local postal service Love & Robots will resend your order (if available) or refund you.

You appoint us Love & Robots in respect of each order you place with us on an irrevocable basis as your agent for the purposes of us giving instructions on your behalf in relation to postal packets addressed to you.

Taxes, Customs and Import Duty

VAT is included in the price for customers in the EU at the current Irish rate, therefore, if ordering from within the EU you will not be liable to pay additional customs or import charges for your delivery. For customers outside the EU, we deduct VAT at checkout and it is up to the customer to check what customs and import charges they will be liable for in their own country. Love & Robots cannot be held responsible if parcels are detained by authorities pending settlement of import duties, etc.

Refunds and Returns

There is a 14-day cooling off period on uncustomised items, which can be returned. Refunds for customised and custom-made items is at the discretion of Love & Robots. Please see our Terms and Conditions of Sale for further information.

Faulty/ Damaged Goods

We only use materials of the highest standard and pride ourselves on our workmanship. However, if an item arrives which is faulty or damaged we will, of course, replace or give you a full refund if a replacement is not available and the item cannot be repaired, including postage costs. Please email us at sales@loveandrobots.com to let us know of the fault/ damage as soon as possible. Please include your name, address, phone number and the fault/ damage. Then post it back to us. Please use a postage with a tracking service and include receipt of the postage paid so that we can refund you. Please send the item with your receipt and contact details to Love & Robots, 5 Dame Lane, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Your Contact Details

When ordering you will need to provide us with your name, address (for delivery) and email address (for order confirmation and dispatch information) to complete the process. It is also a good idea to provide a phone number. It is only used in cases of Express shipping where the delivery company cannot find your address. All information is kept in the strictest of confidence and we do not share your information with any other 3rd parties unless directly required to complete your order (eg. Delivery company).

Delivery Address

All Express shipping parcels are delivered between 9am and 5pm and require a signature on delivery. Therefore, when choosing Express shipping, please provide an address where someone can sign for the parcel. If there is no one there to sign for the parcel, a note will be left by the delivery service indicating the depot where you can pick it up.

Dispatch

You will be notified by email when your parcel has been dispatched. Please be aware that at busy time, such as Christmas, delivery times can be longer, so please order early to avoid disappointment. We currently do not allow for collection.

Stock shortages

We keep our website up-to-date with products that are available. However, from time to time, we may experience stock shortages of a particular item. If you place an order which will take longer to fill than normal, you will be notified immediately, told the estimated time delay and given the option to cancel. If a material for a design becomes unavailable, Love & Robots reserves the right to replace stated materials with other materials of similar specification and of equivalent standard.

Gift purchase

The packaging for our small items can be seen on our homepage & about us page. All jewellery & accessories items come in our custom Love & Robots blue & red gift boxes. Large items such as Wall Art are packaged in brown cardboard boxes with loose fill/ bubble wrap to protect the product in transit. If you are sending a gift parcel, simply fill in the destination address and it will be shipped directly. Remember to enter your email in contact details and you will be sent the receipt and notified when the item has been dispatched.

Environmental Policy

At Love & Robots, we strive to be as environmentally and ethically aware as possible. We source and manufacture locally to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. We use recyclable, ethically-sourced materials. We 3d print using PLA (polylactic acid) plastic, which is made from corn starch, is biodegradable and any waste can be melted down to form new raw material. We recycle as much material as possible, which keeps our waste down. We use any scrap materials for testing of new products.

Product Care

Caring for your jewellery

  • - Always store and transport your jewellery in its box.
  • - Try not to crush your jewellery when you’re wearing or storing it.
  • - Keep water, perfume and other sprays and lotions away from your jewellery. Moisture can discolour metal parts and affect any timber elements
  • - Avoid excessive pulling on chains. It can cause the metal fixings to open.
  • - When cleaning acrylic parts, use an acrylic cleaner and a non-abrasive cloth. Do not use window cleaner or paper towels, as these can crack and damage the surface.

Caring for your coasters

  • - Always transport your coasters in their box.
  • - Keep your coasters flat when you’re storing them.
  • - Remember your timber coasters are made from a natural material. If liquid or food spills on them, wipe immediately with warm water. Prolonged contact with moisture/ food can discolour or warp the timber.
  • - Please note that Birch plywood coasters are untreated, so wipe clean after use to avoid staining.
